Picasa

Free and Efficient Picasa Photo Editing is a free software component for photography fans. She works as a photo organizer and viewer to manage and edit digital photos in many different ways. Picasa’s photo editing tools, available to beginners, make it easy to enhance your photos, red-eye, and adjust contrast and color. Is it still available to Picasa though it’s completed? (Function () {(‘view-application-page-application-desktop’);}); although Picasa is discontinued, it is still available to download and use offline. Picasa was founded in 2002 by Lifescape. In July 2004, Google acquired Picasa and started offering it as free software. However, in February 2016, Google announced that it would stop supporting Picasa Desktop and Web Albums. The collaboration with Picasa Web Albums closed in May 2016. Nevertheless, Picasa is still available and working wherever it is already installed. It is fully compatible with Windows 10, although no new updates will be made. Picasa software is no longer online, so albums cannot be added or synced, and single people are available for Mac. Alternatives to Picasa As an alternative to Picasa, Google recommends using its Google Photos service to create albums, share photos, edit photos, and search for photos. There are other possibilities in Picasa. For a simple photo organizer, Fotobounce does a decent enough job, though its interface is not user-friendly. FastStone Image Viewer is an image viewer and editor, though it lacks Picasa’s innovative editing features. Ribbet Photo Editor offers intuitive photo editing services for all platforms. IrfanView allows you to view images thoroughly and edit photos (and batch edit) while ACDSee is an organizer, viewer and image editor. For those who want to edit photos more efficiently, Adobe Photoshop is one of the most advanced and popular image editors in the world. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, meanwhile, is simpler and easier to use, but includes advanced tools. What can I do in Picasa? Picasa is easy to download and install using the Windows Installer. After launching the program, users can choose where Picasa will import images from their computer: search only My Documents, My Photos, and Desktop, or search the entire computer. At this point, you can also enable Picasa Photo Viewer to view photos directly from Windows Explorer. The browser can open different file types, including .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, .tga, .tif, and .TIFF, .webp, and .raw. Picasa also allows you to select drive and folders for scanning, and also allows you to sync automatically every time you open the software. You do not need to import new images manually. Once your photos are added to Picasa, they are categorized into albums that will appear in folders with the same name they were extracted from. You can rearrange and move photos from one place to another by dragging only. Picasa also lets you tag your photos so you can make them easily sorted with information about where it was taken (although today you have to manually enter it). You can also tag people in photos to find them easily. The Picasa interface is pretty basic and looks pretty nice and oldfashion. With the photo display mode changer, you can easily switch between the library view and the edit view (found in the View menu). Interface tabs separate various projects from the library and import sections. Picasa Fast and Efficient Editing does not specialize in software editing, but offers an interesting range of features that you can use to make basic edits, whether in image, side-by-side, or in batches. Improvements include cropping, straightening, automatic light, color and contrast adjustments, sharpening and red eye correction. You can also use Fun and Useful Image Editing to apply filters. There are many fun filters available, all of which are fully adjustable and make our photos pretty cool. Picasa is extremely easy to use for photo editing. Tool tips appear above the icons; for more advanced tools like red eye removal and finishing, complete instructions appear in the toolbar on the left side of the screen. For beginners, beautifully enhanced photography should be child’s play. Other features are built into Picasa, so you can create posters, collages, screensavers and videos with your photos. Given Picasa’s age, you can even create a gift CD by selecting and burning images to CD with a disk burner. We liked Picasa’s intuitive functionality when it comes to creative projects. The program provides easy-to-follow instructions, and we were able to quickly capture video of our photos, adding sound and basic transitions. We liked that it was easy to resize the video and match the length of the video to the audio. Picasa also comes with some very useful options for finding duplicate and blank albums and compressing your photo editing software. Picasa is perfect for organizing your photo albums, making your first touch-ups, and creating fun projects like movies and collages. As well as being free, the beauty of Picasa is that it is versatile and accessible. It doesn’t offer much more advanced installations, but the editing tool is easy to use and fully customizable for users who want a little flexibility. Its interface is intuitive and provides instant access to all program functions. Less experienced users will take advantage of the software’s extensive built-in support to better understand its features and how to use them.
